Potato-Roses
Did you know that potatoes were the first vegetable grown in space and that there are currrently around 100 varieties of edible potatoes? I love potatoes, especially because they are totally gluten-free & just one baked potato contains 21% of recommended daily dose of Vitamin B6. 40% of vitamin C, 20% of potassium and 12% of fiber. Go for potatoes! So happy with my first Potato Roses.
Potato Roses
Ingredients
- 500 gr. Potatoes
- 50 gr. Butter
- 1-2 gloves Garlic
- 1 Pinch Salt
- 1 Pinch Pepper
- 1 Tsp. Paprika Powder
Instructions
-
Grate the potatoes finely into very thin slices.
-
Heat the butter and garlic in a pan and then add to the potato slices. Mix everything well.
-
Now add salt, pepper and the paprika powder. I have added some fresh herbs like basil and lovage.
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and grease the muffin pan with butter. Now pour the slices layer by layer into the muffin pan. Start at the edge and work the slices inwards until a beautiful rose emerges.
-
Bake the potato roses in the oven for 20-30 minutes.
