Apple-Trifle

APPLE LOVE! 🍎❤ Round, healthy & colourful…. With the apple jelly* from Bonne Maman I had recently created an apple rose proximity. This dessert here is just as delicious and healthy! An Apple-Trifle with crumble, perfect for dessert, breakfast or in between and how do you say: “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” .
For this dessert I cut apples into small pieces and boiled them down with the apple jelly, vanilla sugar and cinnamon. I combined it with greek yoghurt and crumble. I usually make my own crumble, but if it has to go fast, I take oat spelt biscuits with whole grain and crumble them. I find them as a great alternative.

Apple-Trifle

Ingredients

Apple-Sauce

  • 2 pcs Apples
  • 2-3 Tbsp. Apple Jelly
  • 1 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. Coconut blossom sugar
  • 1 Tsp. Vanilla paste
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
  • 3-4 Tbsp. Water

Cream

  • 350-400 gr. Greek yoghurt
  • 1-2 Tbsp. Coconut blossom sugar

Crumble

  • 60-70 gr. oat spelt bicuits with whole grain

Instructions

  1. Peel and quarter the apples, remove the core and dice the flesh. Cover apple jelly, cinnamon, coconut blossom sugar, vanilla paste, water and lemon juice and bring to the boil in a saucepan, remove from the heat and allow to cool.

  2. Crumble the wholemeal oat biscuits and then pour them into the glasses in layers together with the apple compote and greek yoghurt.
